Water is eco-friendly but difficult pressure medium for hydraulic control systems. Control valves of conventional type have many drawbacks and are not well available for water hydraulics.

A digital hydraulic approach is proposed as a path towards a high performance and reliable water hydraulic control valve. In this study, a digital water hydraulic valve system is developed by developing miniature on/off valves and control methods.
